For 40something years wife has wanted me to grill stuff outside.
    Resisted it:
    1. Come on honey, how would you like it if I asked you to spend your weekends changing the oil?
    2. Did not want to store a grill

Partially retired now so #1 does not count - and - last week won a grill in a raffle.

Smoked some ribs - Took about 7 hours start to finish (very good ribs, incidentally)
Guess Little Mother confused a grill w/ a microwave - Definitely was not happy eating @ 07:00PM & says to never use the grill again

Went on a 12 hour ride with one of my sister friends. With all the hell I'be been going through it was empowering to bare your sole with someone who understands and cares. We talked a little, rode a little, cried a little, rode a little more and laughed a lot.

12 hours later we were at the same place we started. Great memories.

Well, over this last weekend I built yet another trailer, but this one is for towing around by Big Yella, loads of cutting and welding, loads of bolting together, and loads of paint...

This one is going to be a multi purpose trailer that will stand on its end in a corner, a real space saver type...It will have a top for...

1 A Rooftop Box converted into a trailer body that will be a clip on to the chassis to carry all camping and survival gear...

2 A single metal channel runner to add to chassis as a single bike trailer bed...

3 A Box type trailer to carry a small generator, 2 spare 70ah batteries, 2 battery chargers, 2 of each 25 litre jet fuel and afterburner containers...

Number 3 above is for me to tow behind the Jet Trike to do smaller shows at some rallies where I dont want to take the truck and big trailer...

Total chassis is done and is now a full rolling stock chassis with anchor points added, and have started modifying the rooftop box as a clip-on to chassis, tomorrow will be welding up a channelled Harley length runner with anchor points, over next few days it will be completed and then I will be able to clip and unclip ALL the various trailer beds on and off in a couple of minutes each, and stripped it will stand in a corner easy...

I was a pretty busy weekend with house chores and other stuff that needed to get done, but finally on Sunday afternnon the weather was just so great we had to go for a ride.  Nothing special just jumped on the bike headed across Laguna Canyon for the beach and rode up the coast a bit.  My Road King was excited because it was the first time he got to go on a boat.  We took the ferry across from Balboa Island to Newport Beach.

Saturday Laura and I went for a ride and stopped in at Mugs Away and wound up staying really late into the night. I quite drinking a couple hours before I had to ride the bike home. Laura had one of those nights where we had to tuck her hands inside my belt to make sure she stayed on the bike ok

Sunday, watched Football and Nascar. I love this time of year with football and Nascar still going. I can ride to just about any bar that has a TV and see one of the two, if not both!

I was so friggin' hot this weekend (over 100 on Sunday) we just tried our best to ride somewhere we would melt. Our first thought was to ride by the coast where it is always 10 to 15 degrees cooler, but when its real hot you have to deal with all of the beach traffic. So we decided to head up over Ortega Highway and into the avocado groves in the Fallbrook area. That was the right idea. Once we hit the Ortega and all through the groves we had tree cover and shade making for a nice comfortable ride. The only thing was that one area that Laura hates - anyone from so Cal has probably ridden on Volcano Dr. This road has one section where it drops about 500 ft or more in about 1/2 mile with nothing but switchbacks. To me its fun because I just imaging I am racing at Laguna Secca down through the cork screw, but Laura always closes her eyes and holds on tight!

We stopped at a cool little cantina in Fallbrook for some cold drings they hit the open road and dealt with the heat until we got back to the coast. It is amazing when you come over that last hill dropping down to the pacific the temp dropped from 105 to 80 in three miles. We stopped in at Mugs Away for more cold refreshments and to catch the end of some of the football games... then hope for the traditional after ride nap!

Well Unfortunately I didn't get to ride this weekend, bikes in the shop.
It was my youngest sons 21st Birthday so there was lots to do. Three out of my four sons with their significant others, my wife and I started out partying Friday night,
Saturday spent the day at Kings Dominion, (an amusement park) then onto Bowling in the evening, and finished off at Buffalo Wild Wings for his first (official) drink "Royal Crown" on the rocks.
Sunday was a sleep in late day then 18 holes of disc golf followed by a night of shooting pool, watching football and of course drinking. Late Sunday night was back home for beer pong, flip cup and a few games of corn hole, (redneck horshoes for those who don't know. 8^)
Monday up by 9:30 (man am I getting old) and rock climbing then on to the shooting range where we killed many paper targets with big guns. Afterwards onto Capital Ale House for the last night of embibing.
Tuesday morning came all too early (4am) when I had to drive my oldest back to the airport about 2 hours away for his flight back to CA.
All in all a great weekend, just glad I won't have to do it all at the same time again because as I said, man am I getting old. 8^)

Rode over to Fairmount, Indiana for the James Dean Festival. The ride was great and the festival was pretty cool. Apparently there was a bike rally in Jonesboro just a few miles up the road. Lots of bikes in Indiana fer sure.

    Peace

Absolutely ZERO riding!!! I have scaled back since Im nursing a bad rotator. Friday our varsity football team routed another opponent 49-0. Now they are 5-0 can you say STATE?? Also we had my son over this weekend and my other boy had a very exciting football game on Saturday morning 7-6, theyre 5-0 as well. On Sunday we did community service with our Church throught our town. Our project was to clear some fallen trees in an eldery couples backyard.

The not so highlight of Friday night was riding home in the rain, the country FM's were slicker than slick so I knew I didn't need to push my luck any further.Think I made a crazy path when I hit the interstate for a short cut.

Went to Las Vegas Bike Fest. It was fun but a little over priced. All the hotels jacked their rates up 25-50%. Guess they though bikers weren't gonna spend enough in the casinos. It was my first time there so I can't say if the crowd was bigger or smaller than normal, but seemed like an awful lot of people to me!

We had a great weekend!!!   Friday night we headed up to Sna Pedro to help our good friend Jim celebrate his birthday.  San Pedro is a port town (on the Port of Long Beach with a newly rejuvinated area with tons of bars and restaurants all in walking distance.  So we started with about 10 of us at dinner and then did the bar crawl finishing up with just 4 of us around 1am when we walked back to Jim and Tina's place just about carrying Jim the entire way and literally dumped him into his bed.

Saturday Laura and I both felt like crap all day, so after a morning nap Laura went to the movies with a friend and I put tile up on the kitchen wall.  We actaully missed another friends 50th b-day party on Saturday night because we both passed out right after dinner.  Just getting to old to party all night anymore.  Takes a full day to recover now!

Sunday we took our son Riley to Universal Studio to ride the rides.  It was my first time on the Transformer Ride and the new King Kong 3D and they were AWESOME.  Of course as any good parent MUST do we found a way to embarrass Riley by putting on dinosaur hats on the way out of the Jurassic Park ride.  We only stayed a couple of hours then took him to Hollywood Blvd to see the Stars walk of Fame - he had never been there, then drove around Beverly Hills and Bel-Air looking at stars homes.

It was a great weekend with a little grown up partying and a little good family fun!!!

Well I thought I was going to have to work this weekend so I rode in at 6:30am on Saturday just to find out the parts we needed for the rig didn't come in... yipee! One of the crane operators rode in to so we decided since we both had cleared our days and had our bikes, it was a geat day to ride. It had been a while since I was there and had almost forgotten how many bars there were on that damn island! Needless to say about three bars in we left the bikes and walked to a few more. We finally wound up crashing at a motel for the night and took a nice long ride home on Sunday morning.

Lucky, I LOVE those hats. I guess they would have embarrassed the hell out of your teenage boy!

Bitchy, glad you got to see some of AZ, it is a beautiful state but does take some getting used to riding in the desert.

I love hearing these stories about our CycleFish friends having fun! It seams lately all I am seeing in posts is this bad thing happened to me on the road or while getting my bike repaired, or this thing pissed me off to where I want to hurt someone. Is the motorcycle life really that miserable or is it just not fun to share stories about GOOD TIMES!

Spent Saturday helping with a fund raiser for a lady biker friend who was run off the road by a truck. She has tons of hospital bills and a number of us are trying to do some things to help her out.

Spent some time Sunday with some other wingers doing a little PLP.
I got a few pics added to my photos here.

Well I am finally moved into my new place and I spend the weekend clearing out the three car garage on the property and started working on my new shop to be in that garage. Gonna take a few weeks to build and get all of my tools and equipment in, but really looking forward to starting on some projects.

And GoFur I hear ya and know exactly what yer saying. Nobody shares the good times they have!!!!

GoFur, thanks... I can and do appreciate all I get to see and ride through in this world. I did have fun and I guess I would rather ride through a desert then 20 feet of snow. Roosevelt lake was like a shappire in the middle of desert. Did take a few pictures and also loved doing 89A... If you have any great rides would love to hear about them as I do not know how long I will be here and know there has got to be some twisties I have just got to see.

Spent the weekend riding as much as I could. The weather is turning colder by the hour so not much time left before the winter jammies go back on my bike.
