  • Message I would have chosen "Riding is my Life" on my options, but I have to keep it real. Working and paying bills is pretty much the majority of my life. I race a dirt stock car on the weekends and interview the drivers at my track. (Perris Auto Speedway, 1/2 mile clay oval) My hubby and I ride as much as we can, usually on Sundays with our friends. But we do go on rally rides when possible.

So little time in life to get everything done. I try to choose the fastest, most exilerating and exciting things to do.

Life is too short and I want all I can get.......

I don't need to stiffeners as the bags are hard bags covered in leather. SilverSportster I will take some pictures so you can get a better idea of what I'm talking about. They are actually made for another manufacturer of bike but they also were a gift and they are big and they lock. I'm sure there is a way to minimize the vibration. Really need them for my long rides. OK...maybe not need, just want. You know how us women are.

Replaced the cycle sound speakers with a fairing that came with a stereo. Replaced that stereo with a Kenwood and the 6"x9" speakers with kicker speakers and I'm more than good to go. High speeds not a problem. The only problem is it doesn't have progressive volume. Other than that it's great and good wind protection too. Oh yeah, went all yuppie and installed a cup/bottle holder too. What was I thinking not doing that??? Now through the desert (SoCal) I have my cool vest, tunes and a sippy cup. Life is good!

in the topic Saddlebags vibrate in the forum Harley Davidson
I have a set of saddlebags that I want to put back on my bike but I can't seem to stabilize them so they don't vibrate.  I had them on my bike but because of the vibration it broke the easy bracket and the front half of the bag fell to the ground.  Luckily I had stopped for gas when it dropped or it could have been very bad. The back of the bags are not flat so attaching the easy brackets I did use the original brackets that came with it but that didn't work.  So in order to get them on the easy bracket I used washers but because they were not supported the weight pulled the front of the bag forward so the lid didn't fit properly. Any ideas for customizing? RaceAngel

spazz64 go to a women's garage party at your local HD dealer. It has a lot of informative information such as the difference between "Barbie Bitchin" and "practical riding" apparel. (Those of us who ride have most likely found out the difference the hard way) Also for new lady riders how to pick up a bike to how to customize your ride. They give away raffle prizes and sometimes include a riders course. Not to mention you can meet fellow lady riders in different stages of experience you can talk with. I bought my Low Rider for my 50th birthday and have logged over 26,000 miles. Riding is my therapy.

My driver this year is #42 Kyle Larson, dirt track sprint car racer and a hell of a wheel man.

in the topic Has this happened to anyone in the forum Off Topic
As a matter of fact is has happened to me but I was coming off turn 4 on a 1/2 mile dirt track. Seems when I hit the inside birm when almost spinning my car out my air cleaner nut wasn't tight enough and the top of my air cleaner tilted and locked the throttle cable wide open. Hit the wall about 90 mph, a little trip to the hospital, 2 months off my bike and missed a race............but healed and back to business. Enjoy life, you just never know.

Sorry peoples, I was going to look for riding partners in the So Cal area but found myself explaining why I was riding solo and thought I would just take it down. But with that being said if there are any groups riding on Sundays I have more fun riding with people than alone.............

Tweek don't go out of your way trying to be what you think "others" will be attracted to.  Be yourself, it's a lot easier than being someone else. I live by simple rules in life: Be Honest with myself and others Take care of my family Pay my bills Don't shit in my own playpen Don't f*ck the man that signs my checks Be Happy Have fun That's all Get some wheels, put a smile on your face and most of all HAVE FUN!

I can tell you 100% this show is fake. Some of the show last night was filmed at our track and the "race" you seen was staged along with the fact the so called "winner" actually came in last place but I interviewed for their camera crew as him being the winner. (I got left on the cutting room floor). The announcer was added to the clip after the fact as that is not our announcer. They said on the show it was 5000 to win when it was actually 500. Totally fake and made up.

Hey Tweek, not trying to convince anyone of anything. It is what it is and I enjoy watching women excel in sports in general. Just a little sweeter when they break barriers. With that said, my favorite highlight of the weekend was Ronda Ramsey. Life is good and I'll be on the throttle this Sat. night at the PAS. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
