We are keen on hiring a bike for a day ride around the area, but i am a bit concerned about navigation and this will be my first time riding on the right/wrong side of the road if you know what i mean.If i was on my own i would give it a go but with the daughter on pillion i would feel happier and safer following another bike. Her mother is also peaking out about this idea and i know she would have some peace of mind if she knew we had a guide to lead us. I like the ride idea put forward by one of the cyclefish team which was down the coast on hwy1 then back east on 84 to Alices Restaurant for lunch then back up to SF but am open to any suggestions if we find a guide/ride leader. So if you think you might want to take this on we will fill your bike up with gas, fill your belly with food and beverage and...    less

I'm new and have a weird electrical issue

I had removed the fuel pak that was on it when I bought the bike at the advice of a certified HD mechanic, I rechecked all my electrical connectors and fuses and it had been running great for a few...    less

Ain't important...as long as it's SAFE. I'm a bit too old now to have to worry 'bout this 'n that.  I been ridin' close to 35 yrs, and my bike of choice is still a Harley-Davidson SPORTSTER.  I fit them, and they...fit me.  And here in Jax, that barterin' you talk about and know, up yonder?  Is non-existent, here in the SOUTH.  It's dog-eat-dog down here, Brother. Sad to say.  Not sayin' a Brother won't STOP for another on the road...  But therein, lies the rub,  and one that's always been my curse.  I'm NOT a "BROTHER"...I'm a Mother. Feel me? (spellin' notwithstanding)  And I've been a ridin' "baby", since before most of the rider's today...were babies.  When a LONE ridin' Momma, was tokened, a "Road Whore".  Things are diff'rnt, and that's all good.  And I'm...    less

    Re Hi
Just though I would stop by and say H. I have been a member since 09 but have not been very active for a long time. Not much is new with me other than the bikes. Repainted the 69 and made some hard bags for the other and just picked up a 07 Springer Classic

  • Message My daughter blessed us this March with two Identical twin grandaughters. We have a total of three grandkids now.her family is still in Tn. so we don't get to see them as often as we want. I have been going thru a rough spell this year with my health. While waiting three months for my right knee to be replaced, I suffered a heart attack in the second week of August. They placed 4 stints in my arteries to open the blockage. I'm on my way to recovery and feel great.I guess I needed to be hit in the chest by a truck before I started taking my health seriously. Out of the four arteriesI was only having 20 % of my blood being circulated thru my body. I was constantly tired, couldn't breathe for shit. Don't be a dumb ass like me. I'm only 52 and almost died. Get a physical and get serious about your health Please.Hope to see ya out there soon.

  • Hawk6351 Sadly, I must report… for anyone who may know (i understand most of the original fish members who knew him have probably moved on maybe…) But my dad RevZeke, and the Alpha Omegas club president, passed away October 31st. I had the longest ride of my life, from NE Ohio to SW Missouri to be there for my mom…. It didn’t help that my trusty Harley chose to do Harley things on that ride… none the less… got done what was needed. I know that 10-12 years back he had friends here. Thought y’all should know. The Club board chose to have me take his place; I can’t fill his shoes but I’m gonna try to follow his footsteps. Love and respect! See you all in the wind!

Make sure to ride thru Golden gate park when you go. Ride down to the beach and by all means stop and eat at the little deli/bakery shop. Best sandwiches in SF. The riding on hwy1 can be crowded with motor homes during the summer and you might want to pack a rain suit because of the heavy fog. The ride between Moro Bay and Monterey Bay is my favorite stretch of hwy1. Have fun !!

A buddy of mine had a similar type of problem and it turned out to be his ignition switch. Harley told him he damaged it by having a big heavy wad of keys bouncing all around. He changed it and got back to normal. BTW I never let a battery go over 4 years on my touring bikes. The numbers are all good but piece of mine in timbuk2 is worth it. I'm in Escondido so hello neighbor!

I think most of us started on sporsters simply because that's the harley I could afford at the time. I still love waking the neighbors and ripping around Escondido on my sporty and I don't care what others think about my ride. I love riding and it sure don't matter that what the next guy or gal thinks to me.
