Setting up a motorcycle rally, or any event as a business is pretty much the same as setting up any business. If you will be accepting money under the business (rally) name, and you are not a corporation, you will need to file a DBA (doing business as). Once you have that you can open a bank account under the business (rally) name. As for IRS, that is going to vary depending on your current tax situation, and I would recommend consulting an actual tax person regarding that.

Make a deal with the dinner to be reciprocal. You offer coupons at your place for the dinner, maybe a Free Coffee or something like that and they offer coupons for your place for a Discount, Poker Chip or something like that.

I spent years off-road RC racing with my son. I was the pit crew he was the driver. Now he is away at college and still racing. I miss it. That is him on the far left last year!!!

Take a certified motorcycle riders training course. They are available in about every area and normally not that expensive!!!
