He is also going to get his wrist surgery this week and hopefully get most of the use of his right hand back.  less

Do not necessarily agree with all that is written here but they are good starting points for further discussion.

I want to keep the categories simple and still kind of general, maybe 2 or three categories at most for now.  My first thoughts were...

Custom - Includes all custom built bikes and factory bikes with modifications to frame or structure
Stock - All factory bikes with no mods to frame or structure (includes all factory bikes with custom paint, etc)

    or

    Old School
    Modern Era
(not sure if we have enough old school to make a difference)

    or

    American
    Metric
And possibly a seperate category for Sport Bikes if we have enough.

Any suggestions on which of the above sounds good, or any new ways to...    less

WE ARE GOING TO LEAVE REAL CLUB NAMES OUT OF HERE.  IT HAS BEEN MADE CLEAR IN SEVERAL PLACES THAT IF A CLUB WANTS TO BE IDENTIFIED AS BEING ON THE SHOW, THEY WILL IDENTIFY THEMSELVES ON THE SHOW.

Haven't seen that one before. It could be your security settings if you are blocking Active X controls or pop ups. What browser are you using?

in the topic Bike of the Month Categories in the forum Contest of the Month
Tom, Our "Contest of the Month" is not always a Bike of the Month contest.  This month (May 2012) we are doing a Photo of the Month contest.  You can go to the Contest of the Month Forum Category (http://www.cyclefish.com/forum/category/19/index) and the top entry (right under How the Contest Works) will always be the current contest. The Bike of the Month will be back in June!

Just a reminder the the "In Our Prayers" is here to pass along good thoughts, wishes and prayers to our brothers, sisters and their families in their time of loss or need.   If you would like to discuss anything else related to this or other instances, please use a more appropriate category like "Biker Chat" or "Legal Issues" R.I.P. Philip - Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family!

in the topic Rules For the In Our Prayers Category - Read Before Posting in the forum In Our Prayers
Well I was hoping the category was pretty much self explanitory, and posts here would always be respectful and on topic.  But it appears we need to remind some that this category is for our members to send Prayers, Best Wishes, and Hope to others in a time of need...period.

Just another reminder... If you enter your bike, be sure to give us the info on it - at minimum we need the make, model, and year so we have some way to describe it once the voting starts!

I just spoke with him on the phone about this and asked him to post it here while I work on a more efficient way to get the word out. This bike was truly a member of the family, and he would like our help in keeping an eye out and trying to recover this bike.

in the topic Rules for the Business Talk Category - PLEASE READ! in the forum CycleFish Businesses Talk
As you know we do not allow businesses to post ads or promotions in the general categories of our forum.  This is so that the forums stay ad free and remain a useful communication tool for our users.  However to show our appreciation to those businesses who are helping to support our great website, we have set up this area just for them.  Here our Preferred CycleFish Business Partners can share information about their business, products, services, events, or just about anything else. We do however have a few special rules for this category... Businesses Only businesses who have upgraded their accounts may post here for information on business account upgrades Click Here You may post any information about your business, products, or services Do not post a competitive product on another business' post, simply start your own post for your product Do not bad mouth any other businesses or their products, instead tell us how good your's is Personal Users Personal users MAY NOT start a new topic here You are welcome to ask questions or request additional information Do not use this as a means to discuss individual customer support issues, click the business name and send them a PM to address those individual issues And finally, remember these are the Businesses that have voluntarily elected to support CycleFish with a subscribed account, so when you can, be sure to show your appreciation

debrajo62 wrote... I actually use Firefox as well. I like it better than IE. One thing I noticed that Firefox does, is that it will save your tabs. So if you want to restart in the exact same place even at multiple web sites at once, it will save your tabs and reopen them the next time you start Firefox. DebraJo, Did you also know if you have your bookmarks organized in folders (sub-folders) you can right click the bookmark folder and select open all in tabs.  This comes in very handy if you have projects or tasks that require the same 3 or 4 sites to be open every time.
