REV UR RIDE - To celebrate 250 years of freedom, the Hollister Independence Rally will honor America with an earth shaking roar at 2:50 p.m. on July 4, 2026, as hundreds of riders rev their engines in unison at San Benito and 7th Streets.
The Hollister Independence Rally, which began in 1947, is widely regarded as the birthplace of
the "American Biker" culture. The rally inspired the iconic 1953 film The Wild One, starring
Marlon Brando and Lee Marvin, which cemented biker fashion, language, and style for
generations to come. In the film, Marlon Brando portrayed "Johnny," leader of the Black Rebels
MC, riding a Harley-Davidson, while Lee Marvin's character "Chino," leader of the Beetles MC,
rode a Triumph.
The epicenter of the Hollister Independence Rally is San Benito Street, situated between 4th
and South Streets in downtown Hollister. The rally brings together motorcycle enthusiasts from
all over, showcasing all makes and models of motorcycles. Attendees can enjoy live music,
browse vendors selling motorcycle accessories, and savor a wide variety of festival foods.
We invite the media to join us at this record-breaking experience!
Upon request, Roadshows, Inc. will arrange special media placement at the stage. Contact
