I love riding motorcycles and always enjoy the company of other riders because we know that we are in it together. For me riding serves a purpose, it's a way to express my way of life and to give back to my community and link beautiful rides with a good cause or charity.
I own 2 bikes display in the attachment. I ride my 2004 Bourget Python on nice week-ends and to bike shows. During the week, day or night, rain or shine, i ride my Suzuki Intruder CL1500.
I look forward to meet cool people with rides/event/shows suggestions in the Sea-Tac area!
Have fun riding, and always be safe!
    God Bless

Memorial Day, isn't just another excuse to party, people.  And it should mean somethin' to ya, even if you never
served, or knew anyone personally who did.

Most of us, here on CycleFish, were raised in a certain ERA.  One in which, we were taught, our moral obligations.
AND THIS...is one of 'em.  And hopefully, you've passed down, what you've been taught, to YOUR children, and grandchildren.  Because, it's when we forget why this country is, as great as it is, and when we turn our backs on our duty to honor, that which is right, we've also turned our backs on God, and Country.  And then collapse of everything you now hold dear, is just that...    less

You have 3 weeks off and $5,000.00
that works out to a little over $235.00 a day for food, gas, lodging and other "Miscellany"  ($238 actually)
we'll assume (I know, I know) that there are no break downs or other 'emergencies'.
You have the choice of having a rider or not but they'er included in the 5K

I think I would go On the National Park to Park Highway, with modifications.

I'm from RI and just bought my first bike, it's a 2012 Suzuki TU250x, and I am also just taking my MFS saftey course.  Last night was the first range class and I got to drive a bike for the first time in my life! I did pretty well but I am really scared  for when I take my bike home.  I'm afraid that the safety course alone won't be enough for me to feel comfortable driving around... what are your experiences with your first ride?  Any advice for a timid newbie?  Thanks in advance! <3  less

Of course most of the time we ride the motorcycle, we ride the back roads avoiding the major roads (the ones with restrooms every mile or two).  So I normally tell my husband well in advance when I will need to go so he can stop at the next restroom.  But inevitably he will pass the next stop because it wasn't on the right side of the road or he just plain forgot.

This is no big deal to guys apparently.  They are completely comfortable pulling over, standing with their back to the road and peeing freely as cars wiz by (no pun intended).  It's probably not that big of a deal to them because they are just standing there and no one can see anything except maybe the stream.

Ok guys, just so you know, it is a big deal for us.  We are in this awkward squatting position, normally pretty close to the road because we...    less

Lucky wrote... I have ridden in most of those areas, but never the entire loop as shown on that map. Sounds like a good ride to add to my list of rides I want to do My top two things that I want to do, and WILL do on a motorcycle.... First is the Alaskan Hwy Second is to ride around Jamaica. We got married there and saw lots of the roads in a car and tour buses and we have always wanted to go back and ride them on a bike. the Alaskan Hwy (AlCan) is a great trip.. best time is late July or August... otherwise ya might/could get snow... and fyi.. do it with a support vechile, My wife followed me with the car and a trailer just in case, there are places where it's 150 miles to the next gas or town of any kind... and very few places to get stuff fixed if it breaks... we actually had no problems other then gas twice... good thing we had 2 five gallon cans of gas on the trailer, one for the bike and one for the car... one more note.. premium gas does not exist after about 100 miles north in Canada... so take along plenty of octane booster..

lots of good advice... practice, practice, practice... ride the backroads and country roads with less traffic until your skills increase and become second nature before hitting that city traffic.. know your comfort level and dont ever ride outside of it... never ride faster then yer angel can fly... and always always wear protective gear (leathers and gloves)............ remember.. that guy that tells you he never went down on his bike, ether doesn't ride, or he's a lair..and road rash hurts....

done the AlCan Hwy.. done Seattle, to Michigan, to Key West, to Texas, and back to Seattle... done most of the National Parks at one time or another... so without repeating a great trip... guess I'd like to do the 4 corners.. Seattle to Medawaska Maine, to Key West, to San Diego, and back to Seattle, keeping off the interstate as much as possible, with a side trip to Vermont... the only state ya can reach without a bridge I aint been to yet..

when she has to go I ask.. "its X miles to the next town.. can ya make it"... if not, I look for a wooded area with a bush she can get behind... I do tease her tho... on a trip to Alaska on the Alcan Hwy, I took a pic of her going into a outhouse at one of the many pull offs along the route (100 + miles between towns).. and captioned it "Most common scenery of the trip"... don't know why she didn't think it was funny..

yes.. there was a problem with the older Harleys in hard curves... felt like the rear wheel was wobbling, hopping in fast or tight curves, it was actually slight movement in the bushings on the swing arm and not tire hop or wobble... thats the main reason for the new frames that came out for the 09's and later... the brace kit is supposed to help, but I never used one so cant tell ya for sure...

I prefer to enjoy my rides.. not spend all my time pulling my ass back off the fender every time I hit the throttle...and on top of that... ya got plenty of shot glasses... but no place to hold the bottle ;)

in the topic Women on the front lines? in the forum Off Topic
Firmly believe is a woman wants the job, and can do the job as well as any male counterpart, she should have the opportunity to do so, and with the same pay and benefits.. Front line combat however does bring up some questions, and concerns... disregarding the the mental aspects (fairer sex, relationships, ect... attitudes can and do change).. but can she, and does she have the strength to pull that wounded comrade to cover? Can she carry that 50 cal. along with all her other gear and keep up with the rest of the platoon? If captured??? rape??? And hygiene concerns?? Can she sit out in the middle of some desert for maybe days during that special time without the opportunity or possibility of changing her "feminine protection"?? Women on board ship, aircraft, assault vehicles, tanks, ect, are fine, but ground troops in the front lines.. brings up too many concerns....
