What Mods Ya Done To Your Motor?

I'm always interested in what we Harley folks do do our motors. By listening to what other folks have done to theirs it allows folks like me to learn a bit.

I bought my bike stock back in 06; a 2000 Fxr4 Evo and love it. Of course the more you learn and the more you understand about how these motors work then by nature most of us want to go faster or at least fix her more to our riden style. So, I did make some changes but nothing more than the stage 1 course of action. SE AC kit, Python III exhaust, V-Thunder EVL-3000 cam, Torrington B-138 bearing, SE Ignition module, SE lifters, and SE Chrome Alloy Adj pushrods  and not much else.

If any of ya want to post up some of your builds or mods, sure would appreciate it

Mine has a 113" S&S in it. 600 cam, Super G, Crane Fireball. Pretty much it. Not much more you need from a 113". Had a 1998 RK I just got rid of and there was a lot in it. Bored .020, mercury balanced flywheel,, lightweight rods, keith Black 9.5:1 pistons, ported and polished, S&S oil pump. For the money, IMHO, there is no better money spent that balancing the fly when you have it apart.

Yea Extreme, your 113sounds like ya got what ya need. I didn't do anything to my top end as most of my riden is around town so I just styed with a bolt in cam to give me a bit more low end and mid range torque for puttin around. I still gotta get out there and re adjust my pushrods I think cause I belive they are rubbing on the push rod tube covers as I've heard the adjustables can be a wee bit bigger in cirumfrence which can cause an occasional ticking noise. Or, maybe my cam end play is not right; set at .015 when i put it in which is what the stock "n" cam was before I puiled it out. If it ain't the pushrod tubes then I'llk check the end play again and maybe take lash down to .010...So, we'll see

This is nothing new here but thought I might post a few pics (for those of you who might have this problem) of my bud's fxr evo with the by-pass carb kit hooked up for oil blowback that is common on the evo's. As you can see, a crossover tube is mounted so as to pass the burnt oil through the tube and out the hose to the bottom of the bike rather than the oil going back into the motor,

Wash? Don't need to. Mine pulls so hard it pulls itself out from underneath the dirt.

Mine had vance and hines straight shots when I bought it, but I don't think he got it re-jetted. When i get it out from winter storage, I'll probably have a K&n or SE filter put in and have the carb re-jetted while its there. no big mods, but it should sound good and be a little better than stock.

    2005 GSX1300R Suzuki Hayabusa

Muzzys full exhaust system, Power Commander, dry shot nitrous. I assembled the nitrous sytem myself to my specs, no kit. Installed a Innovate Motorsports LC-1 A/F monitor and did all the tuning myself. The bike was never tuned on a Dyno. I was at a bike event and decided to throw it up on a dyno for sh!ts and grins. She pulled just under 200 hp, (197. something), Not bad for an at home tune job! Also not bad for approx 80 cu in either!
