in the topic Remembering what Memorial Day is for. in the forum Off Topic
Hoorahh! (I was not in the military, so forgive me if your offeneded by that). At work we had a memorial day ceremony, which I attended, to honor those on service an who did serve by our POW memorial. All in all as the work force at the site goes, attendance seemed slim, but some of us were there, and I ran into a friend and coworker who is a vet. I was happy to be there even if no one noticed or cared. Sacrifices like this and countless many others are why we get to live like we do. And I appreciate that, and its all our vets and serving military that have made that possible. I have known many vets and am proud to. remember them this memorial day and all those who made the sacrifices to allow the rest of to be here. Thanks Rex, and all the other vets, booyeah!.

in the topic Things Drivers Do That Pi$$ Me Off in the forum Off Topic
People in a hurry who think there needs override everyone elses. Example: I was on a group ride with about 9 other bikes riding two bikes in the lane, behind the leader. We pulled up and stopped at a light in the left turn lane. A small suv flys around and stops in the far right lane (saw hazards on, but expected her to turn right or go straight). She turns left when the light turned green, almost ran over the two bikes ahead of me, I had to move out of the way to avoid hitting the other bikes getting away from her. I was like WTF and flew the single finger salute till I couldnt see her any more.

I may be out of line on this post, but first I'd like to thank you all (not just on this post but period who have served in any branch). I have not served in the military (why I dont belong on this post) I thought about it and tried years ago in or after high school {(wanted to check out the Marines) figured I'd go for the best (in my eyes at the time)} but lets just say past heath problems prevented an easy entry, so I decided to try college. In light of Memorial day, I'd like to say, weather or not you would want to take anything back, you all did it, served our country in blood, sweat and tears or any of the above. In my present job, it didnt take long to realize, no matter what branch you serve or served in, you all do or did some thing to keep the rest of us safe as you can, so we can take our kids to the park or just have one or a few to many at a holiday party. It's our right as Americans and your the reason why. I've ended up with a lot of vets in my life in one way or another, you could say there's many things I've learned from them, and most of them are some of the best people I've ever met. I'll say i've been to the wall twice and each was a moving experience, the second time left me with a name I'll always remember. If i'm out of line here sorry, and you can let here here it, I meant no disrespect. Thank you all.

Defcon, I agree completely, I have mostly loud pies, but mostly stock bike (V&H straight shots and stage 1 air filter kit), She's loud at high revs/idol (carbourated), other than that accesories like grips, levers and derby cover, will add some more soon. My bike is no custom chopper, but my baby to evolve as I see fit. I wonder every morning I start it to go to work if I woke up the 3 or 6mo old next door, but thier nana always tells me no. when I come home at night I run low revs and speed down my block, they can hear me but it doesnt bother anyone. I usually try not to be loud (unless some one deserves it). Even if I had a hottie to show off on the back, no reason to draw unnecessary attention to it, you'll hear me when I take off, but not in an asshole type of way.

in the topic This post is ONLY for people that enjoy guns or shooting them in the forum Off Topic
I dont have any guns right now (personal choice w/ a pre teen in the house, and I'd be better off w/ my buck knives in a home invasion) and never shot a .44. My dad has a colt python .357 and a 1911 .45 both of which I've always liked and have fired both. I would say both are intimidating, especially the the .357, I love that gun, but you could probably still tell a punk to ask themselves one question, "Do I feel Lucky?" Still love the Dirty Harry movies.
