I had one halfway decent riding day the day before I had surgery last week, so I thought I would take a couple of pics for you all before I put the bike away for the season. These are from my house to my pre-op appointment in Rapid.

Hey CNCIACO, you are living in my dream place. I have been thinking of relocating to Hot Springs SD. I have family just outside of Rapid City. One of my top ten riding roads is route 85 from Four Corners WY to Lead SD and 585 from Sundance to Four Corners is pretty nice too. With a stop at Lewies.
I hope you are recuperating well.

I can agree with that, There are so many beautiful routes around here that we can leave home ride for 8 hours, never hit the same road twice and still be home at night.
And thanks for all the well wishes--they are working--I feel pretty darn good today!

Yeah, gotta love those roads through Custer State Park! Since the accident that left my right arm bum, my riding is limited. So if I'm gonna take that tour, I gotta START with Iron Mtn. Rd. or I won't make it home!

This and the I-80 one were taken on my trip this summer to ride the Linclon Highway - From Times Sq. NYC to Lincoln Park in San Francisco - hence this shot of the Golden Gate Bridge from the park (which is the Western Terminus of the Linclon Highway.
