Anyone know exactly where that swith is?

The rear tire  I blew out at about 3,000 miles so never got to wear it out . Just had it in for the 5,000 mile service and they said I needed a new front tire. I don't ride hard or fast(most of the time anyways) But 5,000 miles and its worn out. They said 2/32 tread depth left.Am I getting reamed or is this normal to be needing new rubber every 5,000?  less

I once stumbled across a biker bar I had never been to way outside of town.  I pulled in trying to look real cool, taking off my helmet and gloves and then dis-mounting my bike.  Sure wish I would have remembered to put the stand down.

Is this the year HD introduces liquid cooled heads on the big twin? Harley has had a working patent for a few years now and a few factors have lead me to speculate this may be the year.

    1) It's the 110 anniversary. A great time to introduce a new technology. (maybe in the 110ci)

    2) Harley has been progressivley increasing displacement, increasing the need for more efficient cooling.

    3) For the first time (as far as I know), HD has released emmisions data to the state of California with sepreate results for touring models. Previously, touring, dyna and softails were listed together.

    4) In order to meet the future EPA requirements HD will inevitably (IMO) go to liquid (coolant) cooled heads. The public will have to get used to the idea and touring bike owners would be the most likely canidates to accept that change.

    What do you guys/gals think?

They don't know the cause of it for Jess but the baby being brought into this world is not looking like it will happen. Not unless there is a miracle..

She will have one more test before we know anything more..

    I am just sad..

To help everyone see whats going on include the previous word in you response.

    Example:

    work - word

    First word...

    cone

New rules as of Jan 14, 2010, to help keep the game going.  You just need to use 3 of the 4 letters from the previous word. The new word can have the letters in any order, but must have 4 letters.

So with the new rules cone could become note  less

Believe it or not I have had an 07 Road King for 4 years now and never realized the switch was there either. All the years I have been riding it is just second nature to pull the clutch to start the bike.

Hate to see such an icon as the HD air-cooled V-Twin go away. Hopefully the new design will not be intrusive of the bikes styling.

Been unusually cold here for this time of year. The great thing about this area is even in the winter all of the sudden a 50 degree day will show up, so we never put the bikes away!

Like Bill, I like to watch just to see the theme bikes, and do appreciate the creativity. But damn it is so hard to get by the other BS. I like the idea of recording it and fast forwarding past everything except the bikes!

in the topic Best Tires for General Riding in the forum Harley Davidson
Rick71 wrote... i see there are alot of different opinions on tire types here. i guess it all depends on what you ride (sport bike or cruiser) and the type of riding you do (mild to aggressive). Sounds like a trial and error kinda thing, find something that works good for you then stick with it i guess.. I agree with this too.  The reason there are so many tires, is just because there are so many riding styles and personal preferrences.  For me, I just cruise along a moderate speeds and have found the factory Dunlops work best in all types of weather for my type of riding.
