   I've never been to Sturgis but plan on going next year in 2015. It's the 75th anniversary and I'm looking for tips. So far multiple people say camp or stay outside of town (deadwood). So far multiple people say camp or stay outside of town (deadwood). I'll be riding solo from NorCal or with 1-3 others. Planning on staying in Elko then Rock Springs each way... 2 days to get there two days home. I'm more interested in the ride and Rushmore, Crazy horse, etc. than down town.
  
  Any lodging suggestions? One suggestion was to go the week before to avoid the crowds. I've been riding for 12 years but sounds like a ton of rookies show up and can be more dangerous than cagers...  Thanks in advance.  less

  I spent the last 3 days in the hospital.  went in at 10 p.m. New Year's Eve.  Chest pains akin to what I had in 05 prior to my open-heart.  Went through a mass of tests and my heart, amazingly enough, is still good to go.  Turns...  moreI spent the last 3 days in the hospital.  went in at 10 p.m. New Year's Eve.  Chest pains akin to what I had in 05 prior to my open-heart.  Went through a mass of tests and my heart, amazingly enough, is still good to go.  Turns out I have emphysema; treatable and not likely to get any worse.  That's good cause I don't wanna haul an O2 bottle around on the motorcycle.

The one on the left is me (in the back) and Dad....  moreAs most of the family already knows my Dad (Clarence Mercer) pasted away on 12/4/13. After going through some photos (and getting back from Az) I've found these two photos and blended them together. The one on the left is me (in the back) and Dad. In the last year we switched places and I gave him his first ride on a Harley. There are no words other than to say I will miss him very much.

  We are almost done developing a brand new supercharger kit for the HD twin-cam engine, and our inaugural test bike is our own Softail Blackline. Would love to hear some of your thoughts (and questions) on how it looks so far. I will definitely keep you posted as to the performance numbers as they become available.
