Smoke Anyone ?

  • June 7, 2010 12:15 AM PDT
No I don't smoke but after reading Hawks post using smoking as a "Get the message to you example"
I have a huge complaint bout smoking....

Other then just hating smoking "Not Smokers" It really burns my bisquit when I scooter up to a red traffic signal n The person(s) in front/or side of me is smoking with their window open and or hanging the smoke out the window...I would really love to say something to these smokers that are putting me at risk but that would be just wrong on soooo many levels so....blah blah blah......Watcha ya'll think ?

Well, on the other side of that I enjoy pulling up to a light and seeing the cage beside me roll up their windows because I am smoking a cigar. I do not often get in anyone's face and I won't smoke where anyone else will be unable to avoid it. I have rights too!

Wow, Yes, Rex Us Smokers do have rights, I avoid smoking around non smokers.... What is more annoying is all the cage drivers on cell phones

I smoke but not while riding. What peeves me off is when those dopes in cages throw there butts out will driving. To date I have had my crouch burned untold times over the years. Had a smoke hit my face and burn my eye all this while riding! Have hit back on one of these dopes followed him till he stopped and returned the butt. Asked for money for new jeans,he told me to " F@$%# off. Then kicked his door in. Sorry I know your supose to stay calm but lost it that day....

Hoss good thing you can't carry guns down under .....there may have been one dead smoker, but I know what your talking about. I fell off my 8 foot fence and broke 2 ribs and a leg a few years ago fighting a grass fire behind our house caused by some ass throwing out a light butt.
    Be safe down there

My smoke is not putting anyone at any more risk than they put themselves in by driving a car with standard emissions, living in an environment where people breathe CO2 out all day, drive on public roads, walk outside their door, etc. I choose not to smoke in someones face, but that is where I draw the line.

I am extremely allergic to ciggy smoke and my throat closes up and I panic. But I do not ask any one not to smoke, their coffin nail not mine. I don't allow it in my house. I too hate to see so many people on cell phones as they drive. One sped through a lite right in front of me one happy little morning shaking his hands, which were not on the wheel. I saw him coming...Thank God... and didn't take the chance at turning left in front of him...........good choice.....even though the guy behind me was honking his horn off. Then he saw the guy blow the light and waved his "sorry I get it" wave. So many thing in life we must deal with. I to have dealt sometimes with spontaneous violence in a situation. But try not to. Hoss glad to see ya don't hold back. LOL!

It would help if the car manufactures would make cars with ash trays in them for smokers to put their butts in. If you notice there are no ashtrays in cars any longer. You have to have a late model vehicle to have an ash tray. I do have a small ash tray that fits in the cup holder, but it is not easy to use.

I don't ever tell my smoker friends to not smoke (well there was a couple times I did because they were pregnant and I just couldn't keep my mouth shut) even though it is an instant trigger for a 2-day migraine for me but I do try to avoid being near them in closed quarters if they are smoking. I'm not sure how I'd react if someone was smoking in my baby's face though. Hasn't happened yet, I don't think I've met anyone that rude.

I am not going to get on a soap box but I will say that in my opinion most smokers DO respect others and will not subject them to second hand smoke. I go out of my way usually to avoid doing that. Heck, if you camp you will get more smoke from the campfire in one night than you ever will from me.

Yeah, g, I can see that! LMAO!!!!

I don't smoke around non-smokers unless we are in my home or in a social setting that allows for it. Otherwise it is just rude! But I do see people tossing butts and I DO say something--cuz litterbugs is my pet peeve!

Right "G"... What about Sheep? I smoke, my wife doesn't. I don't around her, nor in my house. I don't subject anyone to my smoke other than me. Don't come from way over yonder to tell me my cigarette is bothering you, I'll tell ya to go reproduce with yourself! Your rights end where mine begin and my circle is just as big as yours! Yes I am a smoker but, I am considerate. I've had obnoxious people come to where I've wandered off to and object to my smoking. When people turn into assholes, I show them mine! Life is tough and not Fair.... Oh well....   P.S.  I usually Field "Strip" my butts and don't throw them down.  I get really pissed when hit by butts thrown from automibiles.

There are soooo many more reasons people want to stay away from me for than my smoking. i don't smoke in the house and I consider myself a considerate smoker. However, if I am out in public and my smoking bothers you, stay the hell away from me and keep your damn mouth shut.

i smoke, i try to keep it my habit and not share it. i don't mind someone asking me to step downwind. but, the constant whining and complaining leave me unsympathetic, then i see two options, stand up-wind, or, bitch about it and  i can break out the skoal and spit between your feet lol! equal opportunity offender!

I think it is kinda funny to hear anyone who rides complain about cigarette smoke when we usually end up stuck in ytraffic sucking car exhaust

Thats pretty much what they're trying to do Ezzy. Tobacco is taxed so high here and I heard today they are trying to double the tax here in NY. They are also going to levy higher taxes on cigars and loose pipe tobacco. I have been buying my cigaretts from an Indian reservation because there is no tax on those cigaretts. I can get a carton of cigaretts for about a third what you'd pay at the store. But as of June 30th it will be illigal for anyone to ship from the reservations, so there will be no way to transport them. They couldn't put the tax, so they'll shut down their business.

This was one of the main reasons I quit smoking and I still miss it.   I'm one of the non smokers that LOVE the smell of smoke still and it has been 2 years of not smoking and counting.  It was about $1.25 when I started to over $5.00 per pack of 20 smokes. But it has payed for my (New - Used car) hopefully my bike soon!

Well my friend ~ come to beautiful Washington State where they are over $9.35 per pack or $67.50 / carton... don't get me started on 'sin' taxes...

I believe that if anyone is considerate as a smoker, they should be treated with consideration by X or Non smokers... just don't go down somebody's throat trying to tell them they should quit! They will quit when they are damn good and ready too... Just my opinion...
