Vinyl seat repair

  • March 6, 2014 5:25 AM PST
Last fall, I got a small tear on my seat. Probably from the heel of my motorcycle boot. I took it to a professional vinyl repair person and the estimate for the repair was $100. I decided to try a $9 vinyl repair kit from Wal-Mart. Before attempting the repair, I looked all over the internet for information on this type of repair. I couldn't find what I was looking for. So, I decided to post the results of my motorcycle seat repair.

I had a similar item happen to my seat last week and was heading to the local parts shop for one of those kits. They have one that also has a heated tool so when you press against your material it has additional patterns to help match what you have.
