Powder coating

Doing restaurant repairs I run across lots of equipment. I got a couple of large commercial convection ovens each one is about 3x3x3 inside. That's big enough to do about everything but a frame. I was thinking about getting an Eastwood kit and trying my hand at powder. If it works out I can easily get an oven large enough for frames.

Should work. I've got a buddy the makes motorcycle tie down kits for trailers and he made everything himself then had to send out for powder coat. He got a small commercial oven like the one you are talking about and then build a slightly bigger oven from sheet metal and used the heating stuff from the original. Now he has an oven big enough for a couple racks for parts.

Another thing I always wanted to try my hand at.

Powder or wet no coating is better than the surface preparation.

Pick a powder supplier and follow their recommendations.

Most recently worked with Valspar and they did a good job
