“I’m pretty alert to such problems these days. Soap doesn’t work. Toilets don’t flush. Clothes washers don’t clean. Light bulbs don’t illuminate. Refrigerators break too soon. Paint discolors. Lawnmowers have to be hacked. It’s all caused by idiotic government regulations that are wrecking our lives one consumer product at a time, all in ways we hardly notice. It’s like the barbarian invasions that wrecked Rome, taking away the gains we’ve made in bettering our lives.”

Government at its best is still bad.

I had to share with my FB friends. I could have written this myself but it would have had a few adult words and phrases in it! lol

Interesting post, a clear example of how flawed our govt can be at times.

What about when liquor was outlawed?

There is a clear case of govt overreaching its bounds & trampling on certain rights while espousing to protect others lmao wish those lawyer types would figure on the fallout from "their laws" while their sittin up there on capitol hill..

Anyone interested in some bootleg preused plastic old style gas cans????? going cheap 100 a pieceJ/K for those of you who may question the above statement as being a real offer to sell these now priceless gas cans !!!))

My gas can has a vent. It uses a vacuum vent in the nozzle that allows air in but keeps the gas fumes from escaping. I have a five gallon one, a 10gallon one and another 5 gallon for diesel. They work great. $10 - $15 at home depot.

    Just say'in.

Just got a nsimilar can myself a few weeks ago and it works just fine.

Might be this silly desire I have to be happy, but it's gonna take more than removing a vent from a gas can to get me upset.

    Just say'n
