Lined up for a run.  Salt is wet.

See the rooster tails coming off the rear wheel?  That is every time a cylinder fires, puts power to the salt, and creates that tail. This was 80mph.  Got real loose above that due to wet salt, aquaplaning!

Time to wash the salt off!

I was not the only crazy SOB out there on this day.  This guy had a vintage Auburn on the salt.  They were doing a film shoot, and did not like me running up and down through their shoot.

Looks great but I am salt phobic. Hate that crud anyplace but on my steak. But the saltflats are on my list.

I thought so too, seems the water level is just below the surface, there are soft patches where you can break through and get stuck in a salt/mud mess.

In the wet season, if you can call it that, there is a half inch of water over most of the surface.

I am still finding patches of dried salt on the bike, not a good idea to ride it when wet.
