HOLLISTER Rally Rides Again in 2013

    The Central Coast of California will be celebrating Independence Day weekend with the return of the famed Hollister Independence Day Rally.  Voted in by the Hollister City Council this month, the rally will bring back the tradition that started way back in 1947 and Russ Brown Attorneys are incredibly proud to be the official Legal Sponsor.

    In 2009 the famous California motorcycle rally was cancelled due to a tremendous loss of dollars due to the economic down turn, bringing a close to the American tradition held annually on Independence weekend.

    Even with the cancellation of the rally between 2009-2012, long-term industry staple Corbin Motorcycle Seats & Accessories, based out of Hollister, California, continued to keep the spirit alive by celebrating by organizing their own event during the closed years. Owner Mike Corbin and others continued with ongoing efforts, with this year successfully regaining the return of the sanctioned event. A new management company, Worldwide Dynamics Inc joined forces with the efforts, along with the Hollister California Police Department revising their budget to make the legendary motorcycle event possible.

    The rally originated in 1947 and was initially called the Gypsy Tour. It is said to be the inspiration for “The Wild One,” iconic movie starring Marlon Brando. Legend has it; a disorderly pack of bikers rode in and terrorized the town, which was reenacted in the film. Unveiled to the mainstream media, Life magazine published a drunken biker photo and story on the event that lead to a sensationalized perception of the event.

    Moving to present day, established event organizer Worldwide Dynamics Inc. stepped in as the rally management company.   • Lucky Can't wait! We always loved the Hollister Rally and missed it when it went away. I just contacted the promoter and as soon as they get me the details I will get it in our calendar. And we will definitely be there!!!!!
