I cleaned out the Jets and tuned up my 79 super easy shortly last week. And stop to think how many people still know how to do this? Do you do you get your own work? Or do you just ride and bring your bike into the shop?

Hunter: sorry you do n to like the style of the Indian but like I have always said style verys by person and what is right for one person is wrong for another. It is what I think makes motorcycles so great to look at, every one has been "tweaked" here and there.

Chaplaingregory. Older bikes do not bother me at all as long as they have been maintained. Woolys 03 Ultra has 100,000 miles and all we have had to do is basic maintenance, she has had no issues.  less

Edgewalker to answer your questions. Yes my other bikes are getting jealous, but like this weekend Squaw on Saturday... Submarine on Sunday.... New Old girl Yesterday... The submarine through a little fit and when I was coming into this town from open road way hit a light and went to brake and shift and there was nothing in the shifter. She had vibrated off the back side of the shift lever/rod. So i go reeving into the first parking lot to put her back together. (my own fault maintenance records show I had ignored checking that bolt for way to long!)
Cars is going in a add today. Plan on riding the new old girl again today, don't tell Wooly I am sending him to work. ; )  less

Happy to have new friends and I will probably be asking a lot of questions.  Have a great day.  Jim  less

Started with a chopped Sears mini-bike. A Honda 90 Trail broke my collarbone on a badly done jump, then there was the Honda 305 Scrambler (loved that bike), a 650 Triumph I bought for a hunnerd bucks and a sheath knife. She was the first 'Bike in a Box' I built. No frame so I found one and made her a sweet, rigid chop. Right-foot shift, left-foot brake and a 12" over girder front end. Then the 750 Triumph chop another 'Bike in a Box', rigid frame with pull-backs and a 14" over Glide front end.

I graduated to a Harley when I bought a 57/67 Pan/Shovel... Bliss! Aman Saviour Frame with 5 degree rake neck, 14" over (homemade) springer and as fast as I've ever gone on a motorcycle... 127 mph (radar, but that's another story). I have ridden friend's sportbikes and had a BLAST on them. Ridden several dirt bikes, 125-450 cc and have abso-freekin-lutely loved every...    less

    GOD...
How I used to HATE that comment.

And...  I'm with you on the "BUT"'s.

    Here's what it is Now....

I was asked by my Church, (The Beaches Vineyard) to start a MM.
    *(Almost two years ago)
I had to decline, as it's hard to do that without an M.
I've been the Chaplain of THIS CLUB...
    VETERAN BIKERS MC
for almost two years, without a BIKE....
So, maybe the lack isn't in, NOT having a MOTORCYCLE.
Maybe...it's in the lack, that "I" have put on not having one.
I will always be a BIKER.
    I will always LOVE GOD.
    I don't need a bike to be a BIKER.
And I don't need anything, or anyone else
    to define my belief's.
IF it comes between ME, and GOD...
    then...it's gotta GO.
He will bless me with another BIKE...
    OR He won't.
It's taken time to understand that. But I finally DO.
I make NO EXCUSE. I NEVER WILL.
I will stand on HIS WORD. And TRUST, HIS WILL,
OVER MINE. Cause, that's HIS WORD.

    But...

    I will...    less
