Created in honor of Omari “Mars” Munroe, MARS Day brings together families, bikers, supporters, and the community to raise awareness about motorcycle safety while honoring the lives of those lost too soon.

Founded by Debbie “Mars Mom” Bennett, the event was born from unimaginable loss but transformed into a movement focused on purpose, prevention, and love. MARS Day creates a space where people can remember loved ones, support one another, and help spread life-saving awareness about distracted driving, blind spots, speeding, and road safety for both riders and drivers.

    The day often includes:

    Motorcycle community fellowship
    Music
    Memorial tributes and candlelight moments
    Speakers and advocacy messages
    Mars Merch
    Community resources and support
Opportunities to honor riders still on the road and the lives already lost

At its heart, MARS Day is about turning pain into purpose and making sure every mile carries a message:

Ride aware. Drive responsibly. Protect lives.

    As the foundation says:

“Every Mile is a Message.”  less

Business Description

  • Quick Intro My name is Debbie Bennett, also known as Mars Mom, and I’m the founder of Message From MARS — Motorcycle Moms Advocating for Road Safety — created in honor of my son, Omari ‘Mars’ Munroe, who tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident.
  • About Our Business Message From MARS (Motorcycle Moms Advocating for Road Safety) is a nonprofit organization founded by Deborah Henry-Bennett, also known as “Mars Mom,” in honor of her son, Omari “Mars” Munroe, who tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident.

What began as a mother’s grief has transformed into a movement focused on motorcycle awareness, road safety advocacy, and community healing. Message From MARS uses storytelling, education, outreach events, and memorial initiatives to encourage drivers and riders alike to make safer choices on the road.

The organization is dedicated to turning pain into purpose by promoting awareness about distracted driving, blind spots, speed, and responsible riding practices — while also creating a supportive space for families affected by motorcycle-related tragedies.

Through advocacy campaigns, community events, safety conversations, and branded merchandise that spreads the message, Message From MARS strives to save lives, honor lives lost, and remind every rider and driver that every mile is a message.
