But to seize trademark of a logo, that is way out of line. I agree 100% with the decision to return the lawful ownership of the trademark back to the club, and certainly agree that the club should be reimbursed for any expenses they incurred to fight what was wrong in the first place.

Way to far! Like Lucky said; enforce the law. If you find someone, anyone, with illegal weapons, drugs, etc, take it away. But you can't take away a logo, what is illegal about a logo.

Absolutely Too Far. Yes we need Good law enforcement but to attempt to steal a trademark as a harassment tool is not only wrong but criminal. They should sue back.

Anyway, the question isn't about a violation of their First Amendment rights since that applies to free speech. And since there is NO identifiable political or social message in their colors it is NOT a matter of Free Speech and IMHO should not be allowed as a defense. Me thinks we fk with the Constitution way too often. Maybe I'm nuts here but a person gets arrested for breaking the law. A person is free to do what he likes if there is no "law" against it. I guess my real point here is that the Feds had no "legal" authority to do what they did. They broke the law; they robbed those Mongols who were NOT part of the sting operation, bust, arrest, whatever. Now, whether or not I believe the confiscation of assets in a drug bust to be fair, it IS legal. But to punish the entire club? Not right. Just not right. One more thing, if a club were to get caught pulling colors it's a mandatory 2 years. So I think the... less

Pull the Feds colors it's not red, white and blue, do to them exactly what they do to others. They feel it's the right thing so they shouldn't have a problem with it done to them. Most of the Mongols live outside the laws anyways so who are they to cry foul when they get spanked by the law. We do have too much big brother nose in our business and they need to back the hell off.
