2026 Howlin at the Moon - AMA/Beta National Dual Sport Series
A 2-day Dual Sport motorcycle event being held in Payson
New for 2026 is a Guided Ride option. This is a group ride on the 'B' level routes which is led by one of our experienced club members and is designed to accommodate riders who would otherwise be riding alone, or are new or uncomfortable following GPS track logs. The cost for this option is $130 and is only offered as a 2-day option. - - Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, GPS Track logs, and Thank You gift.
New for 2026 will be a remote gas for ALL Saturday routes. You will need to bring your own gas jug if you cannot go 115 miles without refueling. ATR will transport the gas jugs.
Event Schedule:
FRIDAY - Join us at the Elks Lodge for the weekly Fish Fry from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The ATR staff will be onsite Friday afternoon from 4pm to 7pm for early pickup of Thank You gifts and questions. Look for the ATR banner in the RV area on the West side of the Elks lodge.
SATURDAY - Checkin from 06:00am-08:00am and enjoy a tasty breakfast (Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, mixed fruit, coffee, orange juice). Then ride a 110-120 mile loop with a lunch stop around the midpoint of the ride. A scratch made BBQ-style lunch will be hosted by a Boy Scout troop from the Flagstaff area at the Camp Geronimo dining facility from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Dinner starts at 5:30pm. Enjoy a home cooked meal provided by the Payson Elks.
Our world famous raffle will start around 7pm with tickets being sold prior too, and during dinner.
SUNDAY - Checkin from 06:30am-08:30am and enjoy a tasty breakfast (Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, mixed fruit, coffee, orange juice). The Sunday loops are 50-60 miles of different routes through the forest around Payson.
