Event Desc

  • On Tuesday, July 3rd, 2018 Retired EMS Captain Tony Sessin
was struck by a vehicle on his motorcycle in Berea. By the
Grace of God, off-duty CFD fireman, Alex Kudrant, passed by
the scene, saw the gravity of the situation and applied a
tourniquet to Tony’s leg, effectively saving his life. Then Berea
FD, A Shift, arrived on scene to recognize the severity of Tony’s
injuries and sustained him until they got him to Metro.
On Tuesday, July 10th, the decision was made to amputate
Tony’s injured leg. Tony spent decades helping the sick and
injured in Cleveland. This is now an opportunity to help Tony!
Tony served from 1977 until 2007 when he retired.
