The Desert Knights of America is throwing their 2nd Annual Ohio Benefit. Last year, the Central Ohio Chapter of The Desert Knights were able to raise $12,000 to aid Desert Era Veterans with $6,600 going to a local organization that trains and places service dogs to veterans battling with PTSD. This year the goal is to raise money for America's Freedom Lodge (AFL). This will allow the AFL to take veterans, dealing with a range of disabilities, back into the woods to enjoy brotherhood, comrade, and relax in nature with those fighting the same battles. The Desert Knights hope to raise the funds to Sponsor as many veterans as possible in the upcoming AFL hunts, with the goal of 10-20 Veterans in the 2018 year. The Cost per participant in the hunt is approximately $560, this includes room and board, meals for a week, beverages, hunting equipment, licensing and tag fees, as well as any items needed for those with special considerations.
