Have one or more T-6's @ local warbird museum, sometimes get to see them in the air. Am told that for enormous fees you can be taken up for a pretty wild ride & that they sometimes repaint them to portray Japanese Zeros in WWII movies.

When in the Navy used to grovel & act generally annoying until some officer in need of flight hours would take me up in the T-28; that was usually a wild ride - suppose they hoped that if they made me puke enough would stop bother them

Where was that taken Boss? I remember a WWII museum in ther desert in California when we used to play out there when I was still on active duty. Can't remember the name of it, but he had a couple of Corsairs, a Zero, a P-38 Lightning, and a bunch more. The P38 and Corsairs were flyable..... Maybe Barstow??

Nice pic and if someone is interested in planes there is a great display of them at March Air Reserve base in San Bernardino Ca. right on the side of the I-215 freeway. Miramar Air Base in San Diego also has a display of all the planes the Marines have flown since WW2 about 40 in all. And of Course San Diego has a great Airplane Museum in Balboa Park near the downtown area.
