I'm thinking of going but hate going to NYC - Tell me something about it

I was just at the Progressive Show when it was here in Long Beach a few weeks back. I enjoyed it. The one here was very BIG (twice the size of the Easyriders Show I went to last week), and from what I hear the one in NY is just as big. You can of course see all the new modle bikes from the major manufactures, and they have lots of vendors, so you can definitely spend the entire afternoon wandering around.
