Here are a few Senior Discounts I just learned of.  Please share more if you know of them...

    • Starting at age 55, Kohl's shoppers can show an ID to claim a 15 percent discount on Wednesdays at this department store chain.

    • Hyatt offers senior guests with advance reservations a discount worth up to 50 percent at the brand's hotels in the Lower 48 and Canada.

    • La Quinta Inns Suites offers AARP members up to 10 percent off room rates, as well as discounts for guests 65 and older.

    • LensCrafters marks down a lenses and frame combo, including prescription sunglasses, by 30 percent for AARP members. Order a pair of Transitions lenses with a frame and save 40 percent.

    • Hobbyists age 55 and older qualify for a 10 percent price reduction every day at Michaels, the arts and crafts retailer.

    • Motel 6 gives AARP members a 10 percent price cut in addition to free Wi-Fi and a late checkout at 2 p.m.

    • At Outback Steakhouse, seniors with an AARP membership get a 15 percent discount off the tab for lunch or dinner, minus alcoholic beverages, as long as the order isn't placed online. Some locations may not participate.

    • Wendy's leaves the decision about senior discounts to each franchise holder. The burger chain says most stores offer savings, so don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks for the list of discounts guys, but let's examine why do Seniors get discounts and the younger gereration doesn't......

We have spent years trying to make this Country better for the young ones coming up, .....Just a little thank you from the business out there.

Most Senior's no longer have jobs and the discount trully helps the pocket books........Except in Pigeon Forge, where I believe White Hair is a pre-request for employment.

Because Senior's shop more..(No Job remember) the business base relize's this and offer's discounts to keep the Old Timmers coming back.

I think even the Business Base relizes getting OLD SUCKS and feels sorry for us.

If anyone has more reasons please list them so we have a darn good reason for saying:   Do Ya give discounts for the Gezzers here?

    Stay Safe

The squeeking wheel gets the greese?   I believe AARP had a great deal to do with all the discounts. And that also brought about all the scams the AARP seems to support in their magazine where the less intuitive of us purchase shit we can't really afford. "For pennies on the dollar" is a common phrase.

ND is correct that we do seem to spend more.  I was thinking about that the other day.  It's as even retirement also equates no more financial responsibility.  I'm guilty.  I discovered that we spend more now that we ever did.  I really don't know why that is completely except that I'm able to do more and do it more often.  Ironic that getting older is a learning process and being older is as well.

If you're not outraged you're not paying attention.
