Harley Switchback Saddlebags

    I have a 2012 Switchback and I was on a ride and my saddle bag flew off and was crushed by a truck I have the 5 yr unlimited mile warranty but when I went to the dealer ship they still will do anything about it they offered to pay for half of the bag which still leaves me with a 400 dollar bill if anyone has had this problem or knows anything else I can do please let me know?

    Unless you had a defective mount and can prove it seems to me that like your out the money.

    I would have to agree with Rex. I would think if a defective mounting mechanism was the cause it should be covered under warranty, otherwise if they are will to pay 1/2 the cost I would think that was a pretty good deal.

    I actually saw that happen a few years ago. On a 2000 something FLH CVO the owner didn't fasten the two camlock fasteners on his left bag corectly. Hit a bump on a slight curve and off it went into the woods...
