    I will end up missing this one. I am able to the weekend of the 14th and 15th. I will try and get to the next one everyone ride safe.

    It seems NightDragon knows a lot of the roads around the area. How about we plan a place to meet on the 10th and have a day ride. Plan a ride to a picnic area for a Forum BBQ somewhere in the park?

    I'll typ up a few more ideas whemn I get home tonight and post them.

    Favor. Will everyone who thinks they are coming send me a message please? I have an idea, but I need a head count to follow up on it.

    Sounds like great riding and BBQ! Wife and I will be in the area during that time. Planning on renting a bike, but not sure what days. Wanted to ride Tail of Dragon and Devil's Triangle for sure though.....

    Back at the top again. Still looking forward to the trip and hoping that it does come together. I think we'll be staying at the Apple Cove Inn.

    Hey Time Traveler!!! The last time I was there the Mountaineer Restaurant was closed and for sale. I really enjoyed that mountain top view and wonder if it is back to being open. Do you know. It's really a great place for breakfast and a cool ride up the hill.

    Here is what I’m thinking as a plan for the meet & greet location to get everyone to gather initially.

    Meet at the Wheels through Time Museum between 11:00 AM and 12:30. on the 9th.
    Do the handshakes and intro’s all around, tour the museum and then kickstands up at 3:00 to ride through the Park on 441, maybe stop at Newfound Gap along the way for some pictures,

    Lets get a real crowd going! It’s going to be a blast!

    OK, now I'm confused. does the idea of meeting up at Wheels Through time apeal to you guys, or no?

    Meeting at the Wheels of Time for sure appeals & works real well by me. And, that's what I've entered on my calendar. I'll be the one carting the Bar-B-Q between sites, God Willing. Now, if I'm offered a ride from a very experienced rider, I'll be on the pillion w/ someone.

    They want to meet in Maggie Valley and then go to Pigeon Forge for grub,Smoky Mt National park is in between,Just not sure which side to stay
