I leave my helmet on....places i hang out in are kinda rough, and the folks rougher.

I leave mine on too.  Places I hang out serve lots of alcohol and I fall down a lot.

I wish I still had my old Army Berette (Maroon),  may end up getting one from an Uniform outlet store near a base.

Was in Nam Phong (The Rose Garden) in 1973 for a few short months. Didn't get to go Udorn on liberty though as I was one of the last to arrive there and the base was preparing to close and move the units elsewhere. Ya know, that pissed me off for a long time that I didn't get to go Udorn (Where the Marines went on the weekends) and enjoy the finer life of Thailand; but, hey, I;m sure it woulda all been just a cloudy haze anyway if ya get my drift.

Oh....and the bush bunnies were plentiful
