Weather in South Dakota is cloudy with a chance of vultures

Talk about cold turkey. (Sorry.) On Tuesday, the weather in Sioux Falls, S.D., was a wet, chilly cold mess, with rain, sleet and snow falling. And birds. Really frozen birds. Adam Weber said his wife was fixing breakfast when she yelped that a large bird had just dropped from the heavens. What Weber discovered on his deck was a turkey vulture covered in ice that really needed to warm up. Weber said the buzzard spent the day recovering under a table, before taking off during the night. That one fared better than the vulture that landed on Weber's roof, which he said he assumes is dead on account of it being motionless. [Source]

That is crazy, tho I have seen news reports of bird die-offs in heavy hail storms..a weather event like this could explain the absence of huge flocks of blackbirds I used to see up here locally.Being frozen in midflight literally.
which reminds me of some cold weather rides on my motosickle when the temps hover around freezing..
