If your not in a hurry and do lots of looking you can get some good deals. The places Tumbles said are good suggestions, just don't be in the "I need to buy a bike" mind set, but in the "I'll keep checking these until I find a great deal" mind set.

may also try CycleTrader.com, but the good deals in there go FAST, so you need to check often. And local motorcycle swap meets may be another good place.

Look for motorcycle swap meets in your area that have a bike corral for people to sell used bikes.

thanks for the suggestions guys. im looking to spend as little as possible for a 850cc or bigger. im in no rush i actually figure ill probably end up being able to get one around august or some time in the late season witch will give me all winter to learn the ins and outs of that particular bike.
