Do you put the bike in neutral first?  I do automatically every time.

Do you use the kill (on/off) switch and then turn off the ignition on the dash? I don't.
                             OR
Do you NOT use the kill switch but simply turn off the ignition on the dash? I do.

Using the kill switch and the ignition switch to turn off the bike is kind of a jinx thing for me.  I believe it is unnecessary wear on the kill switch, decreasing the life expectancy.  And since I have to turn off the ignition on the dash anyway there's no need to mess with the kill switch.  And, the ignition switch is a helluva lot easier to fix/replace than the kill switch.

On my shovel head?  Same scenario except that like Aquadave, I shut off the gas.  less

Harley's oil system goes oil tank to pump to engine to filter to tank since there is no plug in the case, after draining the oil I put a pan under the filter before installing the filter I put 2 qts in the tank, crank the motor and watch the oil drain into the pan until it's clean. it really works. Never run your engine dry of oil!!!!!

A ragged, old, derelict shuffled into a down and dirty bar; stinking of whiskey, cigarettes and stale beer His hands shook as he took the "Piano Player Wanted" sign from the window and handed it to the bartender.

"I'd like to apply for the job," he said. "I was an F-4 driver, flying off the Attack Carrier Oriskany back in 'Nam, but when they retired the Phantom all the thrill was gone, and soon they cashed me in as well. I learned to play the piano at Officer's Club happy hours, so here I am."
The barkeep wasn't too sure about this doubtful looking old guy, but it had been quite a while since he had a piano player and business was falling off. So, why not give him a try.

The seedy pilot staggered his way over to the piano while several patrons snickered at the old man. By the time he was into his third bar of music, every voice was silenced. What followed was a rhapsody of soaring music unlike anything heard in...    less

Everyone who is at least my age remembers exactly where they were when the announcement was made that President Kennedy has been shot.

Even though I was only 5 years old, I remember it vividly (probably the only thing I do remember from that young).  My mother had just picked me up from kindergarden and I was sitting at the table eating a snack.  I heard my mother crying on the phone, crying like I had never heard.  Then she told me that someone shot President Kennedy.  She put me in the car and we went to Church.  My sister was still in school that was a part of the Church (we went to Catholic School).  My mom knelt there and prayed for over an hour until my sister got out of school.  I remember lots of people coming into the Church crying and talking... my mother never said a word, she just knelt there crying and praying.  By the time we had gotten home with my sister my dad had left work early and was just sitting in front on the TV staring.  less

Went to ABATE of Wisconsin Officers training. A fun filled and VERY informative weekend. Preparations made for Lobby Day coming up on March 13. This is where several hundred bikers go to the State Capital and meet with our State Representatives and discuss the issues concerning motorcycling in Wisconsin.

I do not use the kill switch to shut down the bike, and I always park and start in neutral. Hey, just the way I do it. I try to always do things the same way.

there is always a little oil left in the case. I always use the same type of oil change after change. As long as you change your oil in a timely manner that small amount left in won't matter. At least it hasn't for me and I've been doing it the same way for years with no prob.

innovative, unique, better than nothing I suppose. Choices, the world is full of them. You live and die by the choices you make. Everyone has their own thing going, wear a helmet, not wear a helmet. It's the riders choice. Wish people would stop telling others what to do. Helmets, like all riding gear have their limits. They won't protect the rider from "everything". In short,   "You pay your money, you take your chances!"  Live free, ride free.

I wear gloves when it's cold, other wise not. I don't wear a helmet either, unless I am off road or in a helmet law state. Off road I wear all the gear.
