Riding, not riding, riding, not riding! That is the pattern for the mountains of Idaho right now. Saturday it was 72, the ice was finally gone from Payette Lake and riding was the order of the day! Yesterday it never got above 40 and rained most of the day. Mid afternoon the rain changed to snow and that continued off-and-on over night. It is currently 30 degrees and has been snowing for about 2 hours! No bikes on the roads today!

I was surprized to hear this story. I have been on the bike road for over 10 years and have always been accepted no matter where I was by other bikers. Guess I just don't understand why today there is such prejudice about the make of a bike. One of the things I enjoy about riding is seeing and meeting all the different people and all the different bikes they ride. The Hell's Canyon Motorcycle Rally in Baker City, OR, usually held in June finds every kind of bike imaginable with riders arriving in groups riding every kind of bike, together. No distinction or anamosity. I love it!

Kris, I have to add my two cents worth of support in your recovery and hope you will give your decision to not ride a serious reconsideration. God is there to support and comfort you and to help make decisions about your future. Trust in Him and yourself. Support is obviuosly here for you as well. God's speed in your recovery!

11yrs first time around. Will be celebrating 27 in June. Sometimes you are lucky and get it right the first time and sometimes it takes a second try! Just like learning to ride a bike!

As former Navy/Marine during the Vietnam War, I would like to remind all former and current service personnel about a change to #7: You may now, conduct a military salute to the flag when presented in any public ceremonies. If you are not former service connected, the hand over the heart is the accepted repect rendering. And get off your butt!

Laws are there for a purpose and law enforcment personell are given special consideration due to the nature of their jobs. I personally feel uncomfortable riding side-by-side for the same reason Hollywood noted in his experience. Staggered riding in groups is a lot more safe for riders and drivers, many more options when trouble comes at you!

Good movie! Lots of laughs, but, as most have said, you may have watch it at least twice to catch some of the comments and some of the filming things that are different because some shots were interupted and then shot again. And yes, that was Ray Leota as the grunge biker and Peter Fonda at the end (Easy Rider). Remember when Easy Rider was filmed, it was at a time when individual freedom was the thing of the day!

Hoping for the ice and packed snow to melt out enough today for that first ride. Don't want the first try to be a dump in the slush. Hard to get 700 lbs. back up when it keeps sliding! It is looking good for a stretch to clear today! Can't wait!
