I am a retired Pastor/Disabled Veteran. I served as a Chaplains assistant for a while, when I got out I road my 1973 Sportster from Elpaso Texas to Providence Rhode Island. In the process I met up with several biker groups as I road some decided to ride some of the way with me. It seemed whenever some dropped off others joined as we road. During the trip after getting to know many of them, they started referring to me as Chaplain. At the time it was just a road name but it stuck and when I got home I went to Seminary and became an Ordained Minister. After that even as I worked in different areas of ministry I still held the Chaplain title. Now that I'm retired, I'm Chaplain for a group of 256 riders men and women that ride to fight Cancer and to help Veterans and kids that are in need of financial support during treatment.
