Honor a fallen brother, support children in need, and experience a powerful day of riding and community at the Derrick Wendler Memorial Ride on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Double Eagle Harley-Davidson in West End, North Carolina.
Derrick Wendler was a dedicated public servant who loved spending time with his family, his friends and on his motorcycle. His life was tragically cut short in a motor vehicle accident on August 15, 2019, but his memory continues to bring riders and supporters together for a cause that makes a real difference.
Registration begins at 9:30 AM, with kickstands up at 11:00 AM. The cost is $20 per bike and $5 per passenger, with all proceeds benefiting the UNC Children’s Burn Center. Following the ride, return to Double Eagle Harley-Davidson for free food and drinks while we continue celebrating Derrick’s life and legacy.
You do not have to have known Derrick personally to take part. If you believe in honoring those who served their communities, supporting children and families, or simply showing up when it matters, you belong on this ride. Come ride beside friends old and new, share the open road, and help turn remembrance into something meaningful.
