GNCC Racing returns to New York for the first time since 2019 with a brand new and exciting venue. Watkins Glen International is a world-renowned road course hosting the NASCAR Cup Series annually since 1986, the famous 6 Hours of Watkins Glen sports car endurance race since 1956 and much more including the former home of the F1 United States Grand Prix. Adding Watkins Glen International Speedway to the 2026 GNCC Racing Schedule for June 6–7 marks an exciting expansion for the series at one of America’s most iconic motorsports venues. Nestled in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York, Watkins Glen brings a rich racing heritage and a world-class facility to GNCC competition, creating a unique backdrop for off-road racing.
While the Watkins Glen International facility is well known for its road racing, it will now host its first-ever off-road event with the Watkins Glen International GNCC, and this promises to be an instant classic! The parking and pit area will be located on eastern side of the facility, just outside of the famous “Esses” and “Back Straight” section of the racecourse. From there, the GNCC course will be heavily wooded as it works it’s way through some of the best terrain the Finger Lakes Region of New York has to offer.
With gently rolling hills and large growth trees throughout, this may sound like a beautiful trail ride at first but that will change pretty quickly when the course tightens up in areas and, naturally, finds some rocky areas as well. The GNCC racecourse will meander through the woods, eventually finding its way alongside “The Boot” section of the road course, before working its way through a mix of thick and open woods, plus some open farmland as well.
