  • The Annual Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride happens the 3rd Saturday of every September. This year is the 30th Anniversary of the ride. The Trail of Tears Ride is the largest organized Motorcycle Ride in the world drawing as many as 150K riders in past years.... that's 150K riders on the road, in one procession, at the same time. Last year there were an estimated 10K riders in this ride and every year is different. We are expecting a higher than usual number of riders this year. You can learn all about the Trail of Tears ride at https://www.al-tn-trailoftears.net.

The Louis Hutton Memorial Ride departs from San Antonio Texas on the Monday before the Trail of Tears ride to join it in Cherokee, NC. Louis Hutton was a long time organizer for the Trail of Tears ride and the group from San Antonio is led by me, his brother, every year. The route of the LHMR is also found on the Trail of Tears website through this link: https://www.al-tn-trailoftears.net/the-ride/louis-hutton-memorial-ride

The ride runs from San Antonio to Cherokee, NC and then back to Tahlequah, OK, then back to San Antonio, TX. We leave on the 11th of September and return on the 19th. This is one of the most unique and fun rides being held in the United States... it is truly an experience to be had.
