Event Description On Saturday, August, 27, the Mt. Vernon Veterans Home Assistance League will host its Seventeenth Annual Ride for Freedom to benefit our Veterans. This is a motorcycle poker run that will travel 84 miles through the Ozarks. Top two hands win along with low hand. The poker run is open to all motorcycle riders 18 years and older. Cars are also welcome. Last bike out at 10:30 am, last bike in at 1:30 pm. Run begins at the Missouri Veterans Home and ends at American Legion Post 639 in Springfield, MO. Registration fee of $30. For entry fee riders will get one poker hand and one meal. Pre-registered riders (cut-off Aug. 12) receive a T-shirt. Location of start is Missouri Veterans Home, 1600 S. Hickory St., Mt. Vernon, MO.
