Event Desc

  • The Polar Bear Run is an annual event held on New Year’s Day. The event is sponsored by the Trinity Road Riders and is open to the general public and to all motorcyclists. 2020 will mark the 36th running of the Polar Bear Run.

The Polar Bear Run is a self-guided ride for individual riders or groups. The ride begins at Cycle Gear in SE Portland and ends at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria in Oregon City. Each year, the road captains of Trinity Road Riders design unique ride routes. You can choose to ride 1 of 3 rides.

Again this year, there will be a grand prize drawing for a 2-night stay at Siletz Bay Lodge in Lincoln City. The winner will be chosen and announced at Jimmy O’s at the ride’s end.

Everyone is encouraged to enjoy fellowship among fellow riders at Cycle Gear. This is a chance to share tales of the road with friends not seen since the cold weather has set in. There will be complimentary donuts, coffee, and chili for you (provided by CMA and Cycle Gear of Portland).

Bike blessings are available upon request!

After finishing the ride, warm up at Jimmy O’s Pizzeria and get caught up with riding friends. There you can enjoy some great pizza, hot sandwiches, or their salad bar.
