  • What Is The Light Up The Hills Retreat?

    2 Chronicles 7:14 – If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

    The Light Up The Hills Retreat is a great opportunity for Christian bikers to gather for fellowship, worship and to ride in the Texas Hill Country. If this is all that we do, then Halleluiah, what a great event. However, there is something else I hope everyone will consider. If you watch the news at all these days, you know our country needs a revival to truly be One Nation Under God! Christian bikers, working together, praying for our nation, can spark that revival.

    Many of us met in Sturgis, South Dakota in 2017 and 2018 to Sing, Pledge and Pray for the Holy Spirit to descend on our Light Up The Hills Rally to renew our spirit and revitalize our individual walk with Christ. There were many professions of faith and what I believe was a “first” for Christ. There were three baptisms in the swimming pond at the Buffalo Chip Campground. We claimed that ground for Christ and prayed that the Holy Spirit would dwell in that place year-round. Bikers familiar with the annual Sturgis Rally and the goings-on at campgrounds such as the Chip can appreciate that this is a victory for Christ.

    In 2019, we are led to host a regional retreat more accessible for riders to come together, pledge allegiance to our flag and pray for God to strengthen our resolve to adhere to the Christian principles upon which our country was founded. So, after much prayer, we decided to hold Light Up The Hills in the beautiful Texas Hill Country at Kerrville, Tx
    We look forward to greeting bikers, non-bikers, Christians and everyone wanting to join us in Kerrville, Texas for fun rides, fellowship and worship on September 11-12, 2020.
