Event Desc

  • On Saturday, March 23rd 2019, the Disciples of Antioch and Road Riders for Jesus Ch.104 will be hosting a Memorial Ride for Henry County Police Dept's Officer Michael Smith. We will meet at Stockbridge Community Church located at 4401 Hwy155 Stockbridge, Ga and end at Falcons Fury Harley Davidson in Conyers. Registration will be from 8am to 10:30am and KSU at 11am. Registration is $30 per rider and $10 per passenger. On December 6th 2018, Officer Michael Smith responded to a call for service where he was tragically shot in the head. Officer Smith fought a strong fight but unfortunately lost his life on December 28th 2018. He leaves behind his wife and son. This memorial ride is to remember the sacrifice that Officer Smith made and to also raise funds for the Smith family during their difficult time. 100% of what is raised will go directly to the Smith family. Due to the anticipated number of participants, NO VEHICLES are allowed in the ride other than motorcycles. This is per a discussion with the leading motor unit escort for safety reasons. Other vehicles are more than welcome to come to our end location at Falcons Fury and we will give everyone there about a 45 minute window to purchase raffle tickets, shirts and other items for sale to benefit the cause. Let’s come together to remember, raise funds and show the family our appreciation.
