Join us for the West Virginia Gold Star Mothers Parade & Motorcade as we come together to honor West Virginia’s 69 Post-9/11 Fallen Heroes and stand proudly beside our West Virginia Gold Star Mothers and their families.
We are inviting everyone along the parade route to wear your red, white and blue, bring your American flags and lawn chairs, and help us create an unforgettable show of support as hundreds of motorcycles and motor vehicles travel through our communities in remembrance of those Post 9/11 West Virginians who gave everything for our freedom.
The motorcade will depart the Summersville Arena & Conference Center and travel through downtown Summersville, giving residents, families, veterans and businesses an opportunity to line the streets and welcome the procession with flags, signs and patriotic displays.
From Summersville, the motorcade will proceed onto Route 19 South, cross the magnificent New River Gorge Bridge, and enter downtown Fayetteville, where we once again invite the community to come outside, line the streets and help create a powerful corridor of remembrance.
The procession will continue through downtown Fayetteville, travel along Maple Avenue to Laurel Creek Road, and then re-enter Route 19 North for a second crossing of the New River Gorge Bridge before heading to The Tractor Bar for a solemn ceremony dedicated to the memory and lasting legacy of our Fallen 69.
Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your flags. Find your favorite spot along the route and help us remind our Gold Star Mothers that West Virginia remembers their sons and daughters.
