Hey to y'all ~
took a spill the other night - or rather a slide - slid bout 20 feet down a steep hill - minor scrapeage to bike - broke forward shift mount - plus could not get it outa gear - picked up a new one and put it on yesterday - fired up bike ( yea I held the clutch in ) tried to get it back to neutral -no such luck ~ not sure what to do as am moniteraly handicaped for a few weeks ~  would be grateful for any help / ideas

Well I'm assuming if you broke the shift mount you slid on the left side. Is there any play where the shaft goes into the tranny case there. Did the shaft maybe get punched in?

Thats what I'm thinking . There is some play - bout 1/2 inch or alittle less. Anyway mech at shop by where I work said to drop it off , and he would look at it when they close for the day - and then can figure out what to do from there. Sooo dats da plan fer now. Thanks for the reply
