Not long ago my wife informed me of a change in the helmet laws in NY that she saw online somewhere. I don't know where she saw it, could've been Facebook. Anyway, according to that story, NY is supposedly changing the helmet law to make half helmets illegal. I wanted to see for myself if it was true so I went to the DMV website but couldn't find any information about any proposed or current changes to the original law adopted January 1, 1967.
Does anyone else know if that article was true? Did anyone else see that article or post?
I'd like to know before I purchase a new half helmet.
