                319 today 3 down this week staying focused is hard but the Wife makes it Easier, Very comitted she is. 1 pound at a time should be the name of this new group of committed people.

                Thanks hambone and AG.  It has been a fun goal to ascertain.  Much worth the end result of knowing that my health is in order. WOW Thats great! I wish I had that much dedication.I'm having trouble just getting started.                 It doesn't happen overnight.  It takes time.  When I started it was a couple pounds here a couple pounds there, I think the difference is that I had a lot of weight to lose.  When I went to the gym I strictly did cardio initially.  I spent an hour a day on the elliptical, rode the bike for 45 minutes, and did some wierd machine that I call the Devil for about 30 minutes.  It took me about two weeks to build up to that time but I was determined to do it.
You know how i learned to appreciate the small losses that accumulate over time?  Take the weight that you have lost to date, pick up an item (dumbell, butter, bag of animal food) that weighs that amount and recognize that is what you were carrying around.  It gives you incentive to lose more.  Not to mention that the energy you gain from the weight that you lose is incredible.
