A young Arab boy asks his father, "What is this head covering we wear & why do we wear it?"
The father said, "Why, it's called a 'chechia' and we wear it because in the desert it protects our heads from the sun."
"And what of this long garment we wear?" asked the young man.
"It's called a 'djbellah' & we wear it because the desert is very hot and it protects the body." said the father.
Then the son asked, "And what about those ugly shoes on our feet?
    His father replied,
"These are called 'babouches,' and we wear them to keep us from burning our feet in the hot desert sand."

    "Tell me, one more thing"
    added the boy.
    "Yes, my son?"

"Why we living in Buffalo, New York  and still wearing all this stuff?"

Probably the same reason I would wear my cowboy hat, cowboy boots and wranglers not matter what part of the world I was in.

What the hell is the difference between Buffalo and the desert?
