How do you haul your bike(s)? and other towing experiences.

  • Being an equipment vendor who specializes in the AmeriDeck products, I would like to host a discussion on how people are transporting their bikes.

I know... riding to get there can be much of the fun, but sometimes weather and mechaincal issues preclude the ride.  That's when a truck or trailer comes into play, and it's not always a cakewalk, even then.

My early days on #150 dirtbikes and riding observed trials was fun... I could ride my bike up a 6x6 onto the bed of my pickup and not think anything about it... now, 40 years later, with a #500 bike and not is the greatest shape... things get tricky.

I'll work on finding details on verious bike transport options.  Let us know the good news and bad news of equipment you have expereince with.

    and... travel safe!

  • Jimmyacorn I don't haul my bike. I deal with the weather when necessary. And if it's a mechanical issue I wouldn't have a trailer with me anyway so I'm pretty much at the mercy of the situation at hand; whatever that may be.
  • AmeriDeck I never hauled the bike until I met my non-riding g/f last year. Then we went to the toy-hauler and then this. Proud to read about you people who take on the weather!
