Brother Down

  Hey y'all, if you would, please keep my good friend and motorcycle brother, Digger O'dell in your thoughts and prayers.  Upon returning from my trip, I was notified that he'd been the victim of a hit and run on Saturday night.  He'd been working at a local bar to make some extra cash and was leaving on his bike at about 2:00am when a couple of teen-aged girls broadsided him and fled the scene, leaving him with a broken cheekbone and eye socket (no vision in that eye at this time), a broken arm, multiple broken ribs, and a severely smashed leg that the doctors at first thought would have to be amputated, but have now determined that there is sufficient circulation to save it.  He is in critical condition.

  To top it off, he has no health or medical insurance, so he's in pretty dire straits.  Digger is one of those guys that always lends a hand to a brother in need, and works tirelessly to raise money for the Women's Shelter of Brazoria County.  He is also the first one to organize fund raisers for local bikers who have fallen ill, been disabled in an accident, or whatever the need may be.  His wife and friends are setting up a benefit for him and I will get more information on any upcoming fundraisers, benefits, or runs as they come in.  If you're local, you can donate blood in his name Dickie "Digger" O'dell at any Houston area blood bank.  Thanks for your prayers and support.
