With sales up over 50% from the 2016 auction, the 2017 Mecum Motorcycle Auction was a huge success for the promotor and motorcycle lovers alike.

Antique motorcycles were once again the most desired.  The auctions top seller was a very rare unrestored 1912 Henderson Four (pictured above) selling for just under $500,000.  Other hard to find antique motorcycles such as two 1913 Henderson Fours, a 1928 Excelsior and a 1949 Vincent Black Shawdow all brought in over $100,000 each.  Then there was the 1923 Indian Chief once owned by Steve McQueen that sold for just a mere $100,000
